Shortly thereafter, the IPL sends the pool of registered players for shortlisting to franchises before sending out the final list along with the order of sets in the week before the auction. There have only been two trades in the IPL trading window since the end of the 2026 season. As per IPL rules, the trading window begins one month after the end of a season, remains open until one week before the auction date and then continues until one month before the start of the next season.
The IPL is yet to finalize the dates for the 2027 season. But in 2024, when she announced the dates of the following three seasons, she dispeared between March 14th and May 30th. However, board secretary Devajit Saikia had hinted in September this year after the BCCI AGM that the tournament could begin by March-end.
