As a kid, you look at the rankings, it was like a tick mark that, ‘Okay, one day I want to be the number one ranked ODI batsman.’ So it feels good, but I guess it doesn’t matter that much right now. For me, it is more important that if you get into the match, go to bat, how can you help the team win, how can you contribute,” Gill said on JioHotstar.
